Munters MCS signs long term agreement with Lloyds Banking Group

Property damage specialists to provide restoration services to 4m policyholders nationwide

Huntingdon, Cambs; Munters MCS has been appointed by Lloyds Banking Group to provide property damage restoration services for their domestic insurance customers in a long term agreement. The agreement covers both Lloyds TSB and HBOS – the two insurance arms of Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), Britain’s largest retail bank. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Lloyds Banking Group, Insurance Account Manager, Andy Jackson commented, "We have enjoyed a long relationship with Munters through our Halifax Insurance brand, indeed since 1998. Munters has provided great service both day by day and during surge periods. The new contract is a natural extension of our relationship with Munters and further supports LBG strategy to provide 'best in class' service to our customers".

The agreement builds on the long standing successful relationship that Munters has enjoyed with HBOS in supplying restoration services for many years including recognised high levels of performance and customer satisfaction after major events such as the flooding in Hull, Tewkesbury and Cumbria and the big freeze of early 2010.

Munters MCS Managing Director Jeremy Sykes commented, “We are delighted to be deepening our relationship with LBG.  Munters has enjoyed steady growth over many years and this agreement enables a long term view to be taken to invest in additional jobs and equipment to support the LBG business. We take great pride in our services delivered by our nationwide team of fully employed technicians and claims handling teams, supported by a huge stock of dedicated equipment.  We consistently ensure that policyholders and insurers receive the right response, reassurance and results at times when it is needed most.”

While the agreement has been signed, both parties have been careful to ensure that there is a sufficient lead in period to enable recruitment, training and equipment purchases to be made before go live.

Munters was included in the Sunday Times Top 100 Company to work for in both 2007 and 2008. In 2008 the ABI ranked Lloyds TSB as #4 and HBOS as #5 in terms of value of domestic insurance premiums worth combined approx £897m.
