Right across Europe, buildings are responsible for around 40% of all energy consumption. As a result, Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are being introduced across the European Union to better determine the energy rating and CO2 emissions from individual properties, both domestic and commercial.
Through our employed Energy Assessors, Munters provides a national Energy Performance Certification service to the Domestic and Social Housing markets and will be providing the same service for the Commercial and Rental/Social Housing sector in line with legislative requirements in 2008. We will also be providing Display Energy Certificates for the Public sector.
We have also developed our unique Energy Survey for the Social Housing sector. This new survey combines industry leading non destructive techniques, which, for the first time delivers Social housing providers with an objective and structured approach to the energy performance improvement and the delivery of Decent Homes and supports compliance to the Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Act 2006
For commercial properties, EPCs and our unique building envelope energy leakage surveys form only part of our Property Damage Prevention portfolio. This provides full pre-loss migration risk management, building and production surveys, business continuity planning and of-course full property and technical restoration services. Finally for new building construction we provide full air tightness testing and certification, and support services, for compliance to Part L1A of the Building Regulations.
