Green Air Treatment Systems

HCU roof unit

Munters is a world leader in supplying energy efficient desiccant air conditioning systems for human comfort in factories, schools, restaurants, shopping malls, theatres, auditoriums, etc.

Our Green Air Treatment systems make smart use of the Munters desiccant rotor technology. In some cases a 45% reduction in energy cost can be achieved using these unique systems.

What it Does

Energy Saving

upto

DryCool HCU

Controls temperature and humidity independently. Utilizes direct expansion condenser heat to reactivate the desiccant wheel while the evaporator provides cooling prior to the desiccant process. The lowest energy solution for the treatment of fresh air.

Desicool

A Green alternative to traditional AHU using waste heat from the building to provide comfort cooling and humidity control . The running costs are very low  and no refrigerant is needed

45%

MX Energy Recovery

Munters Energy purge technology utilises an additional sector in the rotor cassette to take the residual heat in the rotor (desiccant wheel) after reactivation back into the reactivation air stream as sensible heat.

PowerPurge

This unique patented technology collects waste heat off the hottest section of the desiccant wheel thereby reducing the energy required.

It utilises the heat in the waste air from the reactivation air stream and the residual heat in the rotor (desicant wheel) and supplies this back to the reactivaiton supply.  It also reduces the discharge temperature of the process air , resulting in lower energy costs for post cooling.

Drycool HCU

The Drycool system provides operators with the ability to control temperature and humidity independently. A Drycool unit is designed to cost-effectively treat 100% makeup air and can work in conjunction with your existing A/C system or energy recovery ventilator (ERV). It controls humidity on an as-needed basis, when humidity levels exceed setpoint.

The Drycool system operates cost-efficiently because all of the energy required for the operation of its desiccant dehumidifier is recycled from cooling components. The Drycool unit combines the benefits of desiccant dehumidifiers with packaged DX cooling utilizing the condenser heat to reactivate the desiccant allowing the pre-treatment of venitlation air.

DesiCool Systems

DesiCool systems are systems combining Carl Munters' key inventions: the desiccant wheel, the heat recovery wheel and Celdek evaporative cooling pads.

The result is a very effective air handling system that doesn't use coolants like freon (-replacements) and compressors.

POPcool - the synergetic concept

POPcool stands for Power Optimized Process for Cooling.

The heart of this new concept is optimum air quality, providing a comfortable climate for people combined with the best possible economic efficiency, both in terms of initial cost and operation cost.

POPcool incorporates the Munters wheel technology for dehumidification with high efficiency heat recovery. An important design criteria is the absolute separation of supply air and waste air, targeting two entirely independent air cycles. Thanks to the Munters DH wheel technology the sole use of fresh air becomes possible, there is no need for the use of recirculated air because of running cost considerations.

Therefore it’s no longer necessary to use filters for the waste air nor to install additional cooling coils to remove humidity during summer. Cost saving can even be
made because the need for insulation on ductwork is reduced.

Thanks to Munters technology condensate can be eliminated – the essential advantage in terms of hygiene.
