Munters offers highly efficient mechanical separation technology for the removal of liquids in continuous gas flows. The technology offered is focused on the vane separation.

Munters Mist Elimination uses complementary separation technologies such as filtration, coalescence, agglomeration and inlet distribution, in order to meet the performance requirement of any industry application. 

The separation device can consist of a single separation stage or, devices using, several separation stages and technologies such as vane separation and filtration. 

For processes with a tendency for scaling or plugging, it is better to use equipment with integrated cleaning systems, working during operation.  

The aim in using the separation equipment is to achieve a maximum efficiency with the lowest energy consumption.

Munters has large experience in designing mist eliminators for new plants and in retrofitting mist eliminators into existing plants. Munters offers on-site performance measurements to analyse and characterise an existing problem but especially to verify the performance guarantees.

Materials

Mist eliminators are available in various plastics such as PE, PPTV, PPGC, PVDF; in various aluminium grades and most stainless steel alloys such as 304, 316Ti, 316L, 321.

Special materials are available upon request.
