The programme has been put together for Munters by the Special Investigations Services division of Cunningham Lindsey and is being rolled out across the UK during September and October. The content of the sessions includes; types of insurance policy, the principles of insurance, an overview of the fraud problem within the insurance industry, where Munters fit in, what to spot and the processes in place within Munters to manage situations where fraud is suspected.
"We know that fraud is costing the insurance industry billions and everyone has a part to play in identifying those responsible. We are often the first to arrive on the scene after a fire or water damage and that puts us in a unique position. After all, it is the policy holder who ends up paying for fraud at the end of the day through increased premiums - and we are all policy holders" says Stephen Bottamley midlands area manager for Munters who has worked closely with Cunningham Lindsey to set up the training.
